Fine Arts

We believe that integrating the arts—Band, Choir, Art, and Theatre—into our academic courses helps students learn and achieve more, while building confidence and self-esteem.

Character Education

Our Creed forms the basis for everything we do. Character serves us in every setting in our lives, and as a small school, we strive to develop an awareness of character at every grade level.

Concord Academy Boyne means...

“Our charter school has a strong fine arts-based curriculum that allows students to get the many skills they will need for the real world.”Administrator Rebekah Leist

The Arts
At Concord Boyne

Concord Academy Boyne has provided a quality education for students in Northern Michigan for over 20 years! Founded in 1995, we began with a vision, and that vision has only grown as we prepare students for a life of impact!

Concord Academy Boyne is a small K-12 public charter school in Boyne City, Michigan, dedicated to a simple, yet profound educational principle. We believe the fine arts not only enrich the lives of our students, but the fine arts help fashion our students into well-rounded, dynamic, and confident young men and women who are creative thinkers.

Secondary Supply List (Grades 6-12)

By the time students reach 6th grade, many students have figured out their own organizational
system, so secondary teachers are pretty flexible in that area. Below is a list of other suggested
materials to have for each class. You will find a general list at the top, which apply to all courses.

General Supplies:

  • 3 ring binder
  • Notebooks and folders for each class/subject
  • looseleaf paper
  • Pencils
  • Erasers
  • Pens (blue, black)
  • Highlighters
  • Sticky notes
  • Planner
  • Compass, ruler, or graphing calculator

Lock for locker (if desired)
*Because some electives are offered for 1/2 the year, these may not be needed right away:

  • PE attire—loose fit clothing and safe tennis shoes
  • Art class—sketch book
